When people ask me what to see in Mekong today. I tell them view our MekongDelta365.
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
I’ve done many tours, but waking up before dawn to visit the Cai Rang floating market was unlike anything else. Our guide, Duy, met us with enthusiasm and deep knowledge about the market’s history, culture, and the urgent need to experience it before it fades away. Watching the sunrise over the river, surrounded by boats loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables, was simply magical. Duy made the whole experience so personal—he shared stories about the floating market’s origins, its changes, and why it’s such a vital part of local life. I also appreciated how he took care of everyone’s needs, including offering a delicious vegetarian breakfast on the boat. The peaceful sampan ride through smaller canals afterward felt like a secret, hidden world, so quiet and intimate. The bike ride through the village was a refreshing way to connect with the slower rhythm of rural life. Duy’s friendly personality and passion made the whole day feel like a genuine journey into the heart of the Mekong Delta. I can’t recommend this tour enough for those who want to feel the soul of Vietnam.
This two-day tour through the Mekong Delta was truly one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever had. From the moment our guide Hieu picked us up, his warm and knowledgeable presence set the tone for an amazing experience. Cruising through the untouched wetlands felt like entering a secret world, so peaceful and alive with bird songs and lush greenery. The boat ride winding through narrow canals offered a sense of calm that I hadn’t felt in ages. The trek through the forest was easy but rewarding—spotting native birds and learning about the delicate ecosystem was fascinating. I especially loved visiting the giant ficus microcarpa tree, where Hieu shared gripping stories about its role during the war, adding a powerful historical layer to our journey. Ending the tour watching the sunset over the rice fields from the observation tower was breathtaking and deeply moving. This tour isn’t just sightseeing; it’s a chance to connect with Vietnam’s natural beauty and rich history in a way that stays with you long after. If you want to escape the crowds and experience something genuine and soulful, this is the perfect trip.
