    Heartfelt Stories and Scenic Beauty

The wetlands tour led by Chris was one of the most moving experiences I’ve had while traveling. From the moment we stepped into the lush green forest, Chris’s passion and care were evident. He patiently pointed out birds and wildlife and shared heartfelt stories about the region’s history, especially the giant ficus microcarpa tree, which played a role during the Vietnam War. Hearing about the struggles and resilience of local people gave a deeper meaning to the beautiful surroundings. The observation tower rewarded us with panoramic views of the wetlands and stunning rice fields, a perfect moment of quiet reflection. The whole experience felt like stepping back in time to a simpler, more natural world, with Chris as a thoughtful storyteller guiding us through every moment. This tour is ideal for anyone who loves nature, history, and heartfelt connections. It left me with a new appreciation for the Mekong Delta’s beauty and the strength of its people.

A Perfect Blend of Culture and Nature

Our second day in Can Tho with guide Lam was a delightful blend of culture, nature, and genuine local life. Visiting the rice noodle “factory” was fascinating—Lam explained with great enthusiasm how rice noodles are made differently from rice paper, and the colorful noodles were a feast for the eyes. I loved learning how this small family-run business has kept traditional methods alive without turning into a tourist trap. Walking through the tropical fruit garden was another highlight—tasting fresh fruits I’d never seen before and hearing stories about the plants made me feel truly immersed in the Mekong Delta’s rich biodiversity. The peaceful sampan ride through the small, quiet canals was a welcome contrast to the busy floating market, letting me absorb the beauty and tranquility of the rural countryside. The optional bike ride was fun and refreshing, offering another way to see the simple yet charming local life. Lam’s warmth, patience, and deep knowledge made this day feel like a personal discovery, not just a tour. It was a heartfelt journey that showed me the Mekong Delta’s real soul beyond the usual tourist routes.
