Itinerary
-
Itinerary8:30 AM (or 3:00 PM), our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel by car and transfer you to the bike point, where you will start the village cycling tour.
Let’s bike like an insider and take a deep ride into Can Tho. Weave through untouched peaceful villages, pedal along canals and countryside roads, and pass by hidden towns and local schools as well.
Continue cycling to a local ferryboat to cross to the other side of the Mekong River, where authentic local life and daily activities unfold — a perfect place to bike back to "THE REAL MEKONG". Your guide will explain more about local life and agriculture in the Mekong region.
Visit a local countryside market along the cycling route, where you can experience daily life like a local in the Mekong Delta.
Pedal through riverside villages and over rustic bridges to admire stilt houses lining the small canals — an iconic image of the Mekong Delta from the past.
The cycling tour will stop at one of the local favourite spots to watch the sunset in Can Tho (sometimes). There is something majestic about the sunset here. Some days, it is an orange glow setting behind a silhouetted temple. Other days, pink and purple colors sweep across the Can Tho River, reflecting the quiet life of local fishermen and boats crossing toward the horizon, whether it rains or not.
End of the biking tour. You will be transferred back to your hotel or meeting point by car/taxi around 11:30 AM (or 6:00 PM, depending on your selected tour option).

Can Tho Rice Noodle Factory & Villages
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
If you’re looking to go beyond the typical tourist trail, this bike tour is an absolute must. Minh was our guide, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us insight into Can Tho’s daily life, historical context, and even personal stories from locals. The ride itself was peaceful and scenic—winding through lush villages, narrow paths, and over small wooden bridges.
Crossing the Mekong by ferry to “The Former Mekong” was a highlight, giving us a true sense of the region’s history and simplicity. Minh made sure to stop frequently, letting us interact with locals and enjoy traditional snacks. We ended the tour watching a stunning sunset over the river—a truly magical moment. This was hands down the most authentic experience we had in Vietnam.
This cycling tour exceeded all my expectations! Our guide, Thomas, was fantastic, explaining the cultural and historical significance of everything we saw along the way. The ride was easy-going, and we stopped frequently to take in the sights and chat with the locals. I loved how we ventured to the quieter side of Can Tho, away from the crowds. The ferry ride was an added bonus – a perfect way to cross the river and explore new areas. The sunset was, of course, the most magical part. The sky turned all sorts of beautiful colors, and it felt so peaceful. I’m so happy I decided to do this tour. It’s the perfect way to experience Can Tho in a way that’s not just surface-level.
