Itinerary8:30 AM (or 3:00 PM), our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel by car and transfer you to the bike point, where you will start the village cycling tour.
Let’s bike like an insider and take a deep ride into Can Tho. Weave through untouched peaceful villages, pedal along canals and countryside roads, and pass by hidden towns and local schools as well.
Continue cycling to a local ferryboat to cross to the other side of the Mekong River, where authentic local life and daily activities unfold — a perfect place to bike back to "THE REAL MEKONG". Your guide will explain more about local life and agriculture in the Mekong region.
Visit a local countryside market along the cycling route, where you can experience daily life like a local in the Mekong Delta.
Pedal through riverside villages and over rustic bridges to admire stilt houses lining the small canals — an iconic image of the Mekong Delta from the past.
The cycling tour will stop at one of the local favourite spots to watch the sunset in Can Tho (sometimes). There is something majestic about the sunset here. Some days, it is an orange glow setting behind a silhouetted temple. Other days, pink and purple colors sweep across the Can Tho River, reflecting the quiet life of local fishermen and boats crossing toward the horizon, whether it rains or not.
End of the biking tour. You will be transferred back to your hotel or meeting point by car/taxi around 11:30 AM (or 6:00 PM, depending on your selected tour option).

Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
Cycling through Can Tho with guide Danh was an incredible way to experience the real Mekong life away from the tourist crowds. We biked through quiet villages, past small canals, schools, and hidden towns that felt untouched by time. Crossing the Mekong River on the ferry led us to the “Former Mekong” area where Danh shared fascinating stories about local daily life and the region’s wartime history. The highlight was stopping at a favorite local spot to watch the stunning sunset over the river — a moment of pure magic with beautiful colors reflecting on the water and fishermen going about their evening. This non-touristy biking tour offered a genuine glimpse into Can Tho’s soul, and the ride back to the hotel was a perfect end to a memorable day. Highly recommend for those who love nature, culture, and cycling!
This tour exceeded my expectations. Hieu, our guide, was personable and passionate about his hometown. He took us through quiet backroads and villages where life moves at a gentle pace. We waved to children on their way to school, passed by fruit orchards and little canals, and stopped at local markets that tourists usually don’t see.
The ferry ride across the Mekong felt like entering a different world. Hieu shared stories about the region’s past and present, including its role during the war. The highlight? Sitting near the riverbank, watching the sun dip behind traditional fishing boats and silhouetted trees. That moment alone was worth the entire trip. Highly recommend if you’re in Can Tho and want a real, raw, and relaxing experience.
