   After traveling through Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, I was honestly craving something quieter, something real. I didn’t expect to find something as profound as this 2-day tour in Can Tho. Lam, our guide, was exceptional—not just knowledgeable, but thoughtful and passionate about his region.

   On the first afternoon, we drove to the wetland conservation area, which felt like entering a dream. It’s so untouched, so full of life and stillness at the same time. Lam explained how the wetlands are threatened and why this preservation effort matters. We climbed the tall tower and took in a panoramic view that stretched across rice paddies, tree lines, and still waters. I felt a kind of peace I hadn’t felt in years.

   But the magic didn’t stop there. On Day 2, we began before sunrise. I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy waking up at 4:30 a.m., but as soon as we were gliding across the Mekong on our sampan, I forgot everything else. The Cai Rang floating market was alive and full of energy. We drank coffee from a boat vendor, shared laughs with sellers, and tasted fresh pineapple that still had dew on it. I loved how Lam encouraged us to ask questions and engage. It never felt staged or rushed.

   I came looking for an experience, and I left with a memory I’ll cherish forever. This wasn’t a checklist tour. It was slow, sensory, and full of connection.
