Full itineraryPickup: At 5 AM, our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel by car and transfer you to Ninh Kieu Pier to board an authentic small boat (sampan).
Arrive at Cai Rang Floating Market, a must-see in Can Tho. Learn about its history and why this unique market is slowly disappearing. Enjoy a local noodle breakfast (included) on the river (vegetarian option available), fresh tropical fruits, and authentic interactions with Mekong river life.
Leave the tourist crowds behind and take a peaceful sampan ride through Can Tho’s hidden canals, surrounded by lush greenery and quiet waterways.
Visit the authentic Mekong Fish & Farmer Market, where locals trade fresh produce and seafood. Experience the Delta’s daily life in a vibrant, non-touristy setting.
Continue to an organic cacao farm to learn how cacao is transformed into chocolate, wine, and cosmetics, and enjoy a complimentary glass of fresh cacao milk.
Around 9:30 AM, get in the car in Can Tho and depart for Lung Ngoc Hoang forest.
Explore Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve, a 2,800-hectare wetland forest in the Mekong Delta. Cruise through wild canals by boat and experience rich wildlife and nature.
Upon arrival at the forest & wetland conservation area, the driver or tour guide will assist you with boat tickets (included). Enjoy a wonderful boat trip along wild canals. Then visit the 25–meter observation tower to enjoy panoramic views over the wetland forest and seasonal rice fields. (Approximately 1.5 hours in the forest, depending on your pace and sightseeing time.)
After a Vietnamese lunch (included), continue to Son Islet to explore local life and unique community-based tourism exper
Upon arrival, take a short local boat ride across the Mekong River to Son Islet, a peaceful island known for its fruit gardens and authentic Mekong lifestyle.
Visit a seasonal fruit garden, enjoy fresh tropical fruits, and learn about local farming traditions from the gardeners.
Continue to the famous Flying Snakehead Fish show, where local farmers demonstrate the unique fish-jumping performance that has become a symbol of Son Islet.

Take the boat back to the mainland.

Can Tho Rice Noodle Factory & Villages
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
Chris guided us through a truly serene day. The small canals were so quiet and untouched — it felt like we had a secret hideaway just for ourselves. Watching children play in the water and the gentle woman ferrying passengers by boat made me feel like I was part of the local life, not just an outsider. The visit to the organic cacao farm was unexpectedly fascinating, and the cacao milk was a lovely treat. Ending the day with the wetland conservation trek and climbing the observation tower left me in awe of the natural beauty around Can Tho. Chris’s passion for the region and his storytelling made every moment special and emotional.
Duy was the perfect guide — warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about every stop. The rice noodle “factory” visit felt so authentic, like stepping into someone’s home rather than a tourist spot. Duy explained the differences between rice noodles and rice paper with such enthusiasm that I was fascinated the entire time. The rice noodle pizza made by the family was a delightful surprise, full of flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. The biking through the village afterward was refreshing and peaceful, and I loved how Duy encouraged us to explore respectfully. This tour gave me a real sense of the Mekong Delta’s soul.
