When people ask me what to see in Mekong today. I tell them view our MekongDelta365.
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
This tour gave me more than I expected. David was an incredible guide—funny when needed, serious when it mattered. He shared so many things I’d never learn in a museum or online: how families live on the river, what’s happening to the market, and how the wetlands are being preserved. The forest was incredible. I could’ve stayed all day birdwatching. The stop at the old ficus tree gave insight into a history I knew little about. And that lunch—so simple, but so good. By the end of the day, I didn’t feel like a visitor anymore. I felt connected.
From start to finish, this tour was nothing short of magical. Duy was our guide and he made the day feel effortless. Floating through the early market with the sun coming up behind the boats—what a way to start the morning. I loved how interactive everything was. We made noodles, biked through small paths, and even fed ducks near the cacao farm! But my favorite moment? The canal ride through the village where we saw an elderly woman silently rowing people across in her tiny boat. It was like time stood still. This is what travel should feel like.
