This tour is a quiet gem for travelers who want to step away from crowds and really soak in the culture. Thomas was fantastic – not only fluent in English but very passionate about Mekong history and ecology.
The flower village was bursting with color, and Thomas pointed out the different plants used in Vietnamese ceremonies. Xeo Quyt was hands down my favorite. Gliding through the still water under tall trees, I could hardly believe it was once a war hideout.
The final stop at the Huynh Thuy Le house added a romantic, nostalgic feel to the day. A very fulfilling experience from start to finish.
