This tour captured the heart of the Mekong Delta in such a rich and nuanced way. From the vivid flower fields to the historic depths of the Xeo Quyt forest, every part of the itinerary felt authentic. Duy, our guide, was not just informative, but deeply connected to the places we visited. I was particularly moved by the story of the Huynh Thuy Le house. The sampan experience was gentle and introspective, allowing us to connect with the landscape on a deeper level. A truly holistic and heartfelt journey.
As a filmmaker, I’m always searching for moments of truth – and this tour was filled with them. Danh, our guide, was passionate and eloquent. The flower village offered a visual feast, but the sampan ride through Xeo Quyt was something else entirely. The silence, the stories, the emotion in the air – it felt sacred. Lunch was a perfect taste of southern Vietnam, and the architecture of the pagoda and ancient house were cinematic in their own right. I left with footage, yes – but also with a deeper respect for Vietnam’s resilience.
