Sadec flower villageVisit Sadec flower village where tourists seem to be lost in a fairyland, full of colours and aromas of diverse flowers and plants, namely dahlia, hydrangeas, orchids, areca, wrightia religiosa, hibiskus rosa-sinensis and African marigold. The village also boasts several varieties of roses in different colours of red, violet, pink, white and orange.

Xeo Quyt forest and hand-rowing sampanThe next stop is the magnificent 52-hectare Xeo Quyt forest. One vast swamp beneath a beautiful thick canopy of tall trees and vines, it hides the remains of Viet Cong bunkers, which can be seen by rowing sampan inside the forest.

We wanted a slow-paced, authentic tour from Can Tho—and this was everything we hoped for. Lâm was a wonderful guide: thoughtful, well-spoken, and deeply connected to the places we visited.
Sadec flower village was just lovely. Not commercial or staged at all—just locals tending flowers with love. Lâm even knew some of the growers and translated short chats for us.
The sampan ride in Xeo Quyt was the highlight for me. The water, the trees, the vines, and the hidden history of the war all blended together into something quiet and emotional.
The romantic story at Huynh Thuy Le’s house brought a beautiful closure to the day. I’d read The Lover, but I wasn’t prepared for how much emotion being in that house would stir.
Lunch was simple and delicious. This tour reminded me to slow down and observe. Thank you, Lâm.
Chris led this tour with the perfect balance of friendliness and deep knowledge. His pacing was great, and the day never felt rushed or overly scheduled.
I really enjoyed starting at the flower village—it was bright, colorful, and more authentic than any tourist garden I’ve seen. We saw locals preparing flowers for temples and markets.
Xeo Quyt was hauntingly beautiful. The silence in the forest, broken only by the paddle in the water and the rustle of leaves, was unforgettable. Chris shared the wartime history without turning it into a heavy history lesson.
Huynh Thuy Le’s house added an almost cinematic feel to the day. I’d seen The Lover, but seeing the real house made it much more personal.
