Tours in group
This tour was probably the most introspective and moving one I’ve done in Vietnam. Hannah was a superb guide—organized, warm, and genuinely interested in sharing the Mekong’s quieter side.
The flower village in Sadec was the perfect way to start. Peaceful, colorful, and not commercial at all. I loved watching the locals at work.
Xeo Quyt took me by surprise. I wasn’t prepared for how quiet it would be. The sampan ride was slow and almost meditative, yet the wartime past just beneath the surface added a serious undertone.
The Huynh Thuy Le house, linked to The Lover, gave the tour a romantic and literary twist. I had goosebumps walking through it while Hannah narrated the backstory.
Lunch was satisfying, and the car ride back to Can Tho gave us time to reflect. I’m so glad we chose this over a typical group tour.
David was a brilliant guide—he knew when to talk and when to just let us soak in the moment. The whole day felt very well-paced and meaningful.
We started with the Sadec flower village, where the symmetry and color of the gardens made everything look surreal. David explained how local families run these flower farms and prepare for Tet and other festivals.
Xeo Quyt was a hidden treasure. I didn’t expect such a tranquil yet powerful place. The forest was like a green cathedral, and drifting silently in the sampan while learning about the Viet Cong bunkers was unforgettable.
The romantic part came at the Huynh Thuy Le house. Even if you haven’t read L’Amant, it’s a beautiful story and the place has this quiet charm that lingers.
Lunch was simple and perfect. This tour shows the Mekong’s quieter, deeper side. Grazie mille, David!
