The village also boasts several varieties of roses in different colours of red, violet, pink, white and orange.

Xeo Quyt forest and hand-rowing sampanThe next stop is the magnificent 52-hectare Xeo Quyt forest. One vast swamp beneath a beautiful thick canopy of tall trees and vines, it hides the remains of Viet Cong bunkers, which can be seen by rowing sampan inside the forest.

I absolutely loved this tour. Our guide Duy was thoughtful, well-prepared, and genuinely kind. He gave us just the right amount of information without overwhelming us, which I appreciated.
We started at the Sadec flower village, and it was like walking into a living painting. The colors were so vivid, and everything smelled incredible. Duy pointed out flowers used in Vietnamese rituals and told us about local farming families.
Xeo Quyt forest was something special. We moved slowly through the water in a tiny hand-rowed boat, surrounded by trees and vines—it felt sacred. Duy explained the forest’s past during the war, and I found it incredibly moving.
Later, we explored the Huynh Thuy Le house, and the love story behind The Lover suddenly felt much more real. The lunch was peaceful and delicious.
It was a calm and meaningful day that left a strong impression. Tack så mycket, Duy!
We booked this tour hoping for a quiet day out from Can Tho—and it delivered, but in ways we didn’t expect.
Our guide Lâm was excellent: polite, informative, and clearly proud of his region. He let the scenery speak for itself but also added valuable details when needed.
Sadec’s flower village was a joy—fresh air, gorgeous colors, and calm energy. I loved that it wasn’t just a place for tourists but a real working village.
Xeo Quyt forest was almost spiritual in its atmosphere. Floating through the water, seeing old bunkers hidden among the trees, it made me reflect on the resilience of the people here.
The final stops—the old house and pagoda—were quiet, elegant, and full of character. Lunch was lovely too, served in a local spot with plenty of fresh herbs and vegetables.
Would absolutely recommend this tour with Lâm to anyone who enjoys thoughtful travel.
