Xeo Quyt forest and hand-rowing sampanThe next stop is the magnificent 52-hectare Xeo Quyt forest. One vast swamp beneath a beautiful thick canopy of tall trees and vines, it hides the remains of Viet Cong bunkers, which can be seen by rowing sampan inside the forest.

We were picked up in Can Tho by Hannah and her driver, both super friendly and professional. The flower village was jaw-dropping—it’s like a hidden oasis. But the real heart of the tour was Xeo Quyt. Floating through that forest, hearing the stories of the past—it was powerful and humbling. Visiting the famous Lover’s house tied it all together. A peaceful lunch and scenic drive back made for a perfect day. This is real, heartfelt Vietnam.
This tour touched my heart. Danh guided us so gently—his voice, his care, and his knowledge made me feel at peace the whole time. The flower village was like a festival of color and scent. The sampan ride in Xeo Quyt was otherworldly—slow, thoughtful, and very moving as we passed remnants of wartime. The house from The Lover was hauntingly beautiful. Lunch was traditional and filling. A soft, introspective day that still lingers in my mind.
