The village also boasts several varieties of roses in different colours of red, violet, pink, white and orange.

Xeo Quyt forest and hand-rowing sampanThe next stop is the magnificent 52-hectare Xeo Quyt forest. One vast swamp beneath a beautiful thick canopy of tall trees and vines, it hides the remains of Viet Cong bunkers, which can be seen by rowing sampan inside the forest.

This is one of those experiences that leaves you quiet. Thomas, our guide, was brilliant—well-informed and easy to talk to. I loved how each location added a new layer: the flower village was light and joyful, Xeo Quyt was deep and shaded with history, and the Huynh Thuy Le house was softly melancholic. The sampan ride was truly something else—just the sound of water and the trees above. Lunch was very local and satisfying. A peaceful and unforgettable day trip.
As a French traveler, this tour had a personal resonance. Minh picked us up in Can Tho and explained everything with great heart. The flower village was like a perfume garden, blooming with every step. Xeo Quyt moved me deeply—I didn’t expect the quiet, haunting atmosphere of the old bunkers and trees leaning over the canal. Visiting the house from L’Amant and the Chinese pagoda brought it full circle. Lunch was delicious. An emotional and poetic tour I will never forget.
