Sadec flower villageVisit Sadec flower village where tourists seem to be lost in a fairyland, full of colours and aromas of diverse flowers and plants, namely dahlia, hydrangeas, orchids, areca, wrightia religiosa, hibiskus rosa-sinensis and African marigold. The village also boasts several varieties of roses in different colours of red, violet, pink, white and orange.

Xeo Quyt forest and hand-rowing sampanThe next stop is the magnificent 52-hectare Xeo Quyt forest. One vast swamp beneath a beautiful thick canopy of tall trees and vines, it hides the remains of Viet Cong bunkers, which can be seen by rowing sampan inside the forest.

This tour hit all the right emotional notes—beauty, history, silence, reflection. Lam, our guide, was outstanding: respectful, calm, and full of stories. Sadec flower village was vibrant and full of life. Xeo Quyt was like entering a hidden world where time stood still. The sampan ride through the forest was the highlight for me. The Huynh Thuy Le house added a poetic ending to a perfectly crafted day. Lunch was fresh and flavorful. One of my favorite Vietnam experiences so far.
What a gentle, soulful experience this was! Hannah and our driver picked us up from Can Tho right on time, and from the moment we stepped into the Sadec Flower Village, I was enchanted. Colors everywhere, like a living painting. Xeo Quyt was peaceful and eerie all at once, especially gliding silently through the swamp on a hand-rowed sampan. Lunch was simple but authentic, and the visit to The Lover house gave me goosebumps. It was like time travel. Highly recommend this to any nature and history lover.
