Sadec flower villageVisit Sadec flower village where tourists seem to be lost in a fairyland, full of colours and aromas of diverse flowers and plants, namely dahlia, hydrangeas, orchids, areca, wrightia religiosa, hibiskus rosa-sinensis and African marigold. The village also boasts several varieties of roses in different colours of red, violet, pink, white and orange.

Xeo Quyt forest and hand-rowing sampanThe next stop is the magnificent 52-hectare Xeo Quyt forest. One vast swamp beneath a beautiful thick canopy of tall trees and vines, it hides the remains of Viet Cong bunkers, which can be seen by rowing sampan inside the forest.

I’d seen floating markets and river cruises before, but this tour took me to parts of the Mekong that felt far more intimate and revealing.
Duy was excellent—friendly, full of interesting facts, and genuinely passionate about the area.
The flower village was stunning, but what stood out was how real it all felt. No posing, no pushy sellers—just families doing what they’ve done for decades.
Xeo Quyt was pure magic. I felt like I was gliding through a dream, with light filtering through leaves and tree trunks reflected in the water. Then Duy gently reminded us this was once a base during wartime, which made the beauty even more poignant.
The Huynh Thuy Le house and pagoda were quiet, meaningful stops. The lunch spot was shaded and breezy, with truly delicious dishes.
So grateful I joined this tour. I’ll remember it for a long time.
Ce fut une journée paisible, fluide, et parfaitement orchestrée par notre guide Danh. Sa gentillesse et sa discrétion ont vraiment contribué à l’ambiance sereine du circuit.
Le village de fleurs à Sadec était splendide – une explosion de couleurs dans un cadre authentique. Danh nous a parlé des cycles de culture, des usages des fleurs au Vietnam, c’était très enrichissant.
Xeo Quyt fut un coup de cœur. La balade en sampan dans cette forêt inondée, pleine de racines et de feuillages denses, avait quelque chose de presque spirituel.
Visiter la maison de Huynh Thuy Le, avec l’histoire du roman L’Amant en toile de fond, était très touchant.
Le repas fut léger, savoureux et bien servi. Merci Danh pour cette belle bulle de tranquillité.
