Pick-up05:30 AM, the car driver (no tour guide) will pick you up from your hotel in HCMC and transfers to Vinh Long City for embarking the boat. Arrive in Vinh Long around 08:30 AM.

Meeting point with the tour guide08:30 AM, the meeting point is at the lobby of Cuu Long B hotel in Vinh Long. Our tour guide will welcome and pick you up from there and walk to the boat station for the Vinh Long boat excursion.

Vinh Long pottery kilnsThe journey will stop to visit pottery kilns, see the process of handmade pottery for export to European countries, America, Australia and some Asian countries.

Brick kiln Kingdom in Vinh LongYour boat keeps cruising for the mighty Mekong River discovery. About 10:15 AM, the brick kiln Kingdom will appear amazingly along the Thay Cai canal in Mang Thit. This tradition and its heritage kilns last hundred years through the wars and termites. You just feel like you are cruising back in time to recognize the value of mud brick and tiles.

Village trekkingGet on the land for the village trekking (about 45 minutes trek) or just keep sitting happily on the boat to wait for others). During your trekking time, you will pay a visit to different kilns and locals, get to know deeply about their life and the traditional values of brick kiln Kingdom in Vietnam. I didn’t know what to expect when booking a day trip to Vinh Long, but Lâm made it a truly memorable one. He was waiting for us with a big smile at the hotel lobby, and from there the experience unfolded so naturally. Seeing the pottery and brick kilns was like stepping into a different era — no fancy show, just real, hard-working people keeping old traditions alive. Lâm explained everything in perfect English, always with enthusiasm. I loved the calm lunch on the boat, and later the coconut candy and rice pop making was fun and interactive. The small canal sampan ride was short but very peaceful — a nice contrast from Saigon’s hustle. Grazie mille, Lâm!
Je suis allée au Vietnam plusieurs fois, mais cette excursion avec David à Vĩnh Long m’a fait voir le delta sous un autre angle. Dès la marche dans le village, on sentait que c’était vrai, brut, sans mise en scène touristique. David était chaleureux, très cultivé et passionné. Le moment sur le bateau pour le lunch était simple mais si reposant. Il nous a expliqué l’importance des briqueteries dans l’histoire locale, et c’est fascinant de voir que cette tradition perdure. J’ai adoré aussi le petit tour en sampan, tellement calme, avec les arbres qui se penchent au-dessus de l’eau. On sent qu’on est dans le vrai Vietnam. Merci à toute l’équipe.
