Meeting point & pickup with the tour guide in Vinh LongThe meeting point is at the lobby of Cuu Long B hotel in Vinh Long. Our tour guide will welcome and pick you up from there and walk to the boat station for the Vinh Long boat excursion.

Brick kiln Kingdom in Vinh LongYour boat keeps cruising for the mighty Mekong River discovery. About 10:15 AM, the brick kiln Kingdom will appear amazingly along the Thay Cai canal in Mang Thit. This tradition and its heritage kilns last hundred years through the wars and termites. You just feel like you are cruising back in time to recognize the value of mud brick and tiles.

Chris è stato fantastico! Puntuale, sorridente e con un italiano sorprendentemente buono. Il tour ci ha portato tra canali, forni tradizionali e villaggi autentici. Sembrava di essere in un’altra epoca. La parte che ho amato di più è stata camminare nel villaggio, vedere le fornaci da vicino e parlare con le famiglie locali.
Il pranzo sulla barca è stato molto piacevole e rilassante, con cibo gustoso e il fiume intorno che scorreva lentamente. E poi la barchetta a remi tra i piccoli canali? Indimenticabile. Ho fatto foto bellissime. Questo tour è perfetto per chi vuole scoprire il vero Mekong, lontano dal turismo di massa.
What I appreciated the most was how this tour wasn’t about rushing from one place to the next, but really soaking in the atmosphere. Thomas was a brilliant guide — patient, very knowledgeable, and great with storytelling. He gave us historical context without making it feel like a lecture.
The brick kilns along the canal were stunning to see — so many of them, almost like a city made of red clay. Walking through the village, we even saw someone shaping bricks by hand. Lunch on the boat was relaxing, and the food was delicious and generous. The sampan ride later was peaceful, and I loved visiting the candy and rice wine workshop. It’s a lot packed into a short day, but never overwhelming.
