Pick-up07:30 AM, the car driver (no tour guide) will pick you up from your hotel in Can Tho City and transfers to Vinh Long City for embarking the boat. Arrive in Vinh Long around 08:30 AM.

Meeting point with the tour guideThe meeting point is at the lobby of Cuu Long B hotel in Vinh Long. Our tour guide will welcome and pick you up from there and walk to the boat station for the Vinh Long boat excursion.

Vinh Long pottery kilnsThe journey will stop to visit pottery kilns, see the process of handmade pottery for export to European countries, America, Australia and some Asian countries.

Brick kiln Kingdom in Vinh LongYour boat keeps cruising for the mighty Mekong River discovery. About 10:15 AM, the brick kiln Kingdom will appear amazingly along the Thay Cai canal in Mang Thit. This tradition and its heritage kilns last hundred years through the wars and termites. You just feel like you are cruising back in time to recognize the value of mud brick and tiles.

Village trekkingGet on the land for the village trekking (about 45 minutes trek) or just keep sitting happily on the boat to wait for others). During your trekking time, you will pay a visit to different kilns and locals, get to know deeply about their life and the traditional values of brick kiln Kingdom in Vietnam. I loved how this tour struck a balance between interesting heritage sites and peaceful moments. Our guide, Lâm, explained everything clearly and gave great historical background. I found the scale and age of the brick kilns genuinely impressive. The walk through the village was gentle and felt real — no touristy setups, just local life. The lunch on the boat was very enjoyable, with great views of the riverbanks. I also loved the coconut candy workshop — simple joys, friendly people. I’d happily do this again.
Ich hatte keine Erwartungen, aber der Tag war wunderbar. Unser Guide war Hannah – sehr kompetent und sympathisch. Die Töpferei und Ziegelöfen waren faszinierend, besonders entlang des Kanals, wo man sich wie in einer anderen Zeit fühlte. Ich mochte besonders den Spaziergang durchs Dorf: ruhig, authentisch, ohne Touristenmassen. Mittagessen auf dem Boot war entspannt und lecker. Das Rudern durch die kleinen Kanäle am Nachmittag war einfach traumhaft. Eine perfekte Mischung aus Kultur und Natur!
