Our day trip from Can Tho to Vinh Long was truly enriching and well-organized. After being picked up early by the driver, we met our guide Hannah at the Cuu Long B hotel, who immediately made us feel at ease with her friendly demeanor and deep knowledge.
The visit to the pottery kilns was fascinating — watching artisans create beautiful pieces destined for countries all over the world. Cruising along the Mekong River to the brick kiln Kingdom felt like stepping back in time, and Hannah’s insights during the village trek gave us a real understanding of the traditional craft and daily life.
Lunch on board was tasty and relaxing as we continued cruising to An Binh islet. The sampan ride through the small canals was a highlight, offering stunning views and peaceful moments. Visiting the local workshop where we sampled coconut candy, pop rice, and other specialties was delightful.
The tour ended smoothly back in Vinh Long with our driver ready to take us back to Can Tho. Hannah’s warm guidance and the beautiful scenery made this a day to remember.
Our Vinh Long boat tour was an absolute highlight of our Vietnam trip, and I have to give huge credit to our guide Minh for making it exceptional. Minh greeted us warmly at the hotel lobby and immediately made us feel like part of the family. The pottery kiln visit was fascinating — seeing the traditional methods and hearing about the export journey was eye-opening. Cruising past the brick kiln Kingdom was like floating through history; Minh’s stories brought the place alive with vivid detail.
The village trekking was immersive and peaceful, and Minh’s respectful attitude towards the locals made the experience even more special. The rowing sampan ride on the small canals was a serene escape and gave me the perfect photo opportunity. Sampling local delicacies like coconut candy on An Binh islet was a sweet treat, literally! Lunch on the boat was delicious and relaxing, while cruising the mighty Mekong.
Minh’s professionalism, friendliness, and deep understanding of the region made this day tour unforgettable. I highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience the Mekong Delta beyond the usual tourist spots.
