An ancient Khmer pagodaSurrounded by the small minority Khmer village, The Khmer ancient pagoda, 300-hundred-year-old, has a very tranquil setting and is one of the oldest ancient Khmer-style pagodas in Mekong Delta. When people ask me what to see in Mekong today. I tell them view our MekongDelta365.

Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
What a beautiful and fulfilling day this was! From the boat ride through Tra Su Forest to the quiet corridors of the Khmer pagoda, every moment was etched with awe and authenticity. Chris was fantastic—he answered all our questions with clarity and passion, whether about bird migration or Buddhist customs.
The flooded forest was astonishing. The sunlight filtered through the canopy, and the reflection in the water made it look like we were floating through a painting. We switched to the rowing boat, and the slow, quiet glide brought me deep peace.
Lunch in the forest was such a thoughtful touch. Fresh, balanced, and just the right amount. The rice fields we visited later were picture-perfect, as were the sugar palm groves. I’d never tried sugar palm juice before, but I’m glad I did—sweet, earthy, and energizing!
The pagoda gave the day a spiritual dimension. Chris told us how the Khmer community maintains their heritage, and it made me think about resilience and identity. I highly recommend this tour for those who want more than just sightseeing—this is a journey for the soul.
Lâm was the perfect guide—kind, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable. Tra Su Forest took my breath away. We entered via motorboat and felt immediately embraced by the natural world. Birds flitted above and around us, their sounds echoing softly through the forest. The bamboo bridge walk was surreal, like walking through a sacred garden.
Later, we enjoyed a traditional lunch right in the heart of the forest—light, fresh, and flavorful. What I truly loved was the rhythm of the tour—it was never rushed. Each moment had space to breathe.
We stopped to admire vast rice fields and had a fun little detour with sugar palm juice tasting—something I never expected to enjoy so much! At the ancient Khmer pagoda, Lâm gently introduced us to its symbolism and stories. The energy there is peaceful and grounding. I left with deep gratitude for the day and for our guide.
