An ancient Khmer pagodaSurrounded by the small minority Khmer village, The Khmer ancient pagoda, 300-hundred-year-old, has a very tranquil setting and is one of the oldest ancient Khmer-style pagodas in Mekong Delta. Walking around the pagoda, you will feel the relaxation, airy but no less ancient thanks to the pleasant complex of peaceful compound with elaborate stupas and ornate painting of spiritual scenes with the Buddha on the outside of the main building

When people ask me what to see in Mekong today. I tell them view our MekongDelta365.

Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
From the moment David picked us up, the day felt like a journey into the heart of a hidden world. Tra Su Forest was beyond what I had imagined—lush, green, and alive with the calls of birds. The motorboat glided through the flooded forest like something from a dream, and the hand-rowed sampan later gave us a deeper connection to the stillness. David shared stories about the forest’s ecosystem that made me appreciate its fragile beauty even more. Climbing the observation tower was another highlight—we had a panoramic view of this natural wonder and could even spot storks and herons flying overhead.
Lunch in the forest was a feast of local flavors, fresh and simple. On the way back, the rice fields were endless and glowing golden under the sun. We also stopped by the sugar palm groves and tried the juice—so refreshing! The Khmer pagoda was the perfect, serene ending. Its ancient structure and spiritual calm brought a peaceful close to the day. Thank you, David, for your warmth, knowledge, and humor—you brought this journey to life for us.
Minh has a gentle presence that matched perfectly with this peaceful tour. From the start, the tour had a meditative quality. Tra Su forest was green in all directions, and the air was so pure. We went from motorboat to sampan, and each transition brought us deeper into nature’s embrace. Birds sang, trees shimmered, and Minh helped us understand how everything was connected.
Lunch in the forest was intimate and delicious. I loved how the guide allowed quiet time between explanations — it felt respectful. The rice fields were a revelation — we stopped at one where locals were harvesting, and I even got to try carrying a bundle of rice!
The sugar palm was sweet and scenic, and a great way to re-energize. But the Khmer pagoda… I didn’t expect to be so moved. It felt like stepping into sacred time. I sat for a moment on the temple steps, just being. This tour didn’t just show me the Mekong — it helped me feel it. Deeply.
