A Forest of Echoes and a Pagoda of Peace

This day with Hannah was like stepping into the pages of a travel memoir. Tra Su forest was the highlight — a living, breathing place full of whispers and wings. Hannah encouraged us to pause, listen, and feel — not just look. The sampan ride brought me to tears. It was that beautiful. Floating so close to the water, I felt like a part of the forest.

Lunch was served under shady trees, and everything tasted so fresh. The rice fields afterward were poetic in their simplicity. We stopped for photos and just stood there for a while — no one said a word. That’s how powerful the landscape was.

I loved the sugar palm stop — the juice, the view, the breeze. But the Khmer pagoda at the end of the tour was something sacred. I walked barefoot inside, feeling the cool stone and ancient energy. Hannah spoke softly about the meaning of the symbols, and I listened like a child hearing a bedtime story. This tour was unforgettable.

A Journey into the Heart of Mekong’s Stillness

Duy made this trip unforgettable. His deep knowledge of nature and culture gave each stop a purpose. In Tra Su forest, it felt like the world slowed down. The boat glided through green silence, and I caught myself just smiling, soaking in the moment. The sampan experience brought us close to the tiniest details — a bird nesting, a frog leaping — life thriving all around.

Lunch was rich and flavorful, and even in the heat, the forest kept us cool. On the road back, we saw endless rice fields — Duy timed a stop perfectly where the sun hit just right for photos. We even spoke with a farmer briefly, which added a personal touch I didn’t expect.

Tasting sugar palm was new to me, and I loved it! Our final stop, the ancient Khmer pagoda, was hauntingly beautiful. Duy explained the Buddhist artwork so clearly. I left not just with photos, but with a new respect for this peaceful culture and its spiritual roots.
