An ancient Khmer pagodaSurrounded by the small minority Khmer village, The Khmer ancient pagoda, 300-hundred-year-old, has a very tranquil setting and is one of the oldest ancient Khmer-style pagodas in Mekong Delta. Walking around the pagoda, you will feel the relaxation, airy but no less ancient thanks to the pleasant complex of peaceful compound with elaborate stupas and ornate painting of spiritual scenes with the Buddha on the outside of the main building

When people ask me what to see in Mekong today. I tell them view our MekongDelta365.

Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
This tour was a soul-soothing experience. The Tra Su Forest was like something out of a dream—gliding on a sampan through emerald green waters, surrounded by bird calls and the rustling trees. Hannah was a gentle, insightful guide who encouraged us to pause, listen, and look closely. The view from the tower took my breath away. The visit to the Khmer pagoda was the perfect peaceful ending. A must for anyone who wants to experience the quiet magic of the Mekong.
This tour was a perfect blend of natural wonder, cultural richness, and peaceful countryside charm. Our guide, David, was exceptionally informative and friendly, making sure we didn’t just see the places, but truly understood their significance.
The Tra Su Melaleuca Forest was like something out of a dream. Gliding silently on the hand-rowed sampan through flooded green corridors, surrounded by bird calls and dense cajeput trees, felt magical. Climbing the observation tower gave us sweeping views of the forest, distant mountains, and flocks of white storks dotting the sky. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it. The bamboo walking bridge was a unique touch—both scenic and fun.
Lunch at a local forest restaurant was a delicious surprise—fresh, authentic, and surrounded by nature. After that, we passed through stunning rice fields and stopped to walk among the paddies while David explained the agricultural life in the Delta. It’s hard to grasp the scale and importance of these fields until you’re standing in them.
The sugar palm fields were a sweet interlude (literally), with refreshing juice and picture-perfect scenery. But what really moved me was our visit to the ancient Khmer pagoda. Peaceful, sacred, and surrounded by a small Khmer village, it offered a deep spiritual contrast to the wild nature of the forest. The intricate architecture and calm atmosphere made it a highlight of the day.
This tour takes you well off the beaten path and deep into the true heart of the Mekong. It’s perfect for anyone who wants nature, culture, and serenity all in one unforgettable day.
