Chau Doc’s Untouched Beauty in One Unforgettable Day

This tour is perfect for anyone wanting to understand the real Mekong Delta. Minh was our guide, and he was incredibly informative and attentive. The day started with a boat ride on the Bassac River, where we visited a floating fishing village. Watching the fish farming process up close and seeing people live directly on the river was eye-opening.

Next, we visited the Cham ethnic minority village. Minh explained their history and traditions so clearly, and it was fascinating to see the women weaving textiles and to learn about their faith and daily life. The Jamiul Azhar Mosque added to the cultural richness of the experience.

Tra Su forest in the afternoon was peaceful and stunning. The birdwatching from the sampan boat, the 25-meter observation tower with panoramic views, and walking the bamboo bridge were absolute highlights. Along the way, Minh shared stories about Khmer Buddhism, rice farming, and wildlife in the region. This tour is a true deep dive into the landscapes and lives of Chau Doc.

A Journey Through Culture, Nature, and Hidden Waterways

This was one of the most well-rounded and beautiful day trips I’ve taken in Vietnam. Tai picked us up right on time and made us feel welcome from the first moment. We started on the Bassac River, learning about the Mekong’s journey and its vital role in local life. The floating fishing village was lively and fascinating—you can really sense how closely the people live with the river.

The Cham village was a cultural highlight. Tai explained the unique history of the Cham people, their Islamic faith, and how they continue to weave beautiful textiles by hand. It felt very authentic and respectful—not a tourist show at all. Then came the peaceful cruise through the narrow Vinh Te canal, surrounded by stilt houses and tropical greenery.

But Tra Su Forest was the crown jewel. The quiet sampan ride through the flooded forest was otherworldly, with birds flying overhead and green duckweed carpeting the water. The view from the tower was breathtaking, and the bamboo bridge was a fun surprise! This tour blends nature, culture, and insight beautifully—highly recommended.
