Pickup: At 8:30 AM (or 2 PM), our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Can Tho by car and transfer you to the pier for your Son Islet community-based tourism experience.
Upon arrival, take a short local boat ride of about 5 minutes across the Mekong River to Son Islet. This peaceful island is known for its lush orchards, friendly locals, and authentic Mekong lifestyle, offering a refreshing escape from the city.
Visit a seasonal fruit garden where you can stroll among tropical fruit trees and learn about local farming practices from the gardeners. Depending on the season, you may see longan, rambutan, pomelo, star apple, coconut, or other fruits grown on the island. Enjoy fresh tropical fruits right at the orchard while experiencing daily life in the garden.
Continue to another local house for the Flying Snakehead Fish show. On Son Islet, local farmers have trained snakehead fish to jump high out of the water simultaneously to catch food, creating a unique and entertaining spectacle that requires patience and years of practice.
Continue to a local family's garden to experience the famous duck massage, one of Son Islet's most unusual attractions. Meet local residents, learn about their daily activities, and gain insight into life on a green Mekong River island.
Take the boat trip from Son Islet back to the mainland.
End your fun and educational Son Islet experience. You will be transferred back to your hotel or meeting point by car/taxi around 12:30 Noon (or 6:00 PM, depending on your selected tour option)
