The village also boasts several varieties of roses in different colours of red, violet, pink, white and orange.

Xeo Quyt forest and Hand-rowing sampanThe next stop is the magnificent 52-hectare Xeo Quyt forest. One vast swamp beneath a beautiful thick canopy of tall trees and vines, it hides the remains of Viet Cong bunkers, which can be seen by rowing sampan inside the forest.

I took the morning version of this tour, and it felt like slipping into another world. Our guide, Thomas, was excellent — informative without being overwhelming, and really good at letting us enjoy each place at our own pace.
The flower village was stunning — so many varieties I’ve never even seen before. The air smelled sweet, and the locals were friendly and busy with their work. At Xeo Quyt, I loved the peaceful boat ride under the dense canopy, and Thomas explained the wartime history with care and balance.
The visit to the ancient house and pagoda added a cultural touch — the architecture, the details, the love story… it was like walking through a memory. A perfect half-day in Sa Dec.
Our guide Lam was welcoming and knowledgeable from start to finish. Sadec flower village was a visual and fragrant delight — truly like a fairyland. The hand-rowing sampan through Xeo Quyt forest was calm and historic, especially with the Viet Cong bunkers hidden under the trees. The Huynh Thuy Le ancient house added romance and culture, while the Kien An Cung pagoda provided a peaceful close. Lam’s enthusiasm made the day unforgettable.
