Sadec flower villageVisit Sadec flower village where tourists seem to be lost in a fairyland, full of colours and aromas of diverse flowers and plants, namely dahlia, hydrangeas, orchids, areca, wrightia religiosa, hibiskus rosa-sinensis and African marigold. The village also boasts several varieties of roses in different colours of red, violet, pink, white and orange.

Xeo Quyt forest and Hand-rowing sampanThe next stop is the magnificent 52-hectare Xeo Quyt forest. One vast swamp beneath a beautiful thick canopy of tall trees and vines, it hides the remains of Viet Cong bunkers, which can be seen by rowing sampan inside the forest.

The Sa Dec tour is a masterpiece in less than half a day. I was picked up promptly at the hotel, and our guide David was outstanding. The flower village felt like walking through a perfume—colorful and alive. But the sampan in Xeo Quyt stole the show for me. Quiet, haunting, and so full of stories from Vietnam’s past. The house of Huynh Thuy Le was charming and made me want to rewatch The Lover. A beautiful and balanced experience from start to finish.
This tour is a beautiful blend of nature, history, and culture. Danh, our guide, was incredibly kind and shared lovely local insights. The flower village was nothing short of magical, and I couldn’t stop taking photos. Xeo Quyt was a complete surprise—lush, tranquil, but also powerful in its wartime stories. The ancient house from The Lover was beautifully preserved and gave a glimpse into old colonial romance. A perfectly curated short experience.
