-
Phong Dien floating market is the priority oneWhen you arrive, weave around the sampan, have a cup of coffee, tea and enjoy the rowing sampan market where the local sell to local only. (about 10 local boats there, maybe 2 or 3, maybe nothings, please make sure you like the canals in Phong Dien, this is your tour. We don't think to call 10 boats as a "market"- this news updated from July 2024)
-
Cai Rang floating market – a must thing to see in Can ThoYour guide will explain things about the history of the market, the local life on the river. Enjoy the tour with the freshest pineapple on the floating boat and say GOOD MORNING VIETNAM! GOOD MORNING MEKONG!

-
The friendly family’s traditional noodle houseYou’ll be impressed by the colorful noodles, and how fascinating the noodles are made by the local. The family will serve you the yummy noodle pizza made by the owner’s wife…

This was not a tour for the crowds — and I loved that. Hannah was warm, funny and very knowledgeable. Phong Dien had only a few boats but it felt personal, not staged. The canoe-like boat we used was quiet and allowed us to enter small canals the big boats couldn’t. Cai Rang was livelier and we had a lovely pineapple while drifting. The noodle workshop with the local family was the highlight for me — watching them hand-pull the noodles and tasting their creations was amazing. Highly recommend if you want something different and less touristy.
