This tour was a nice break from the usual pace of travel. Thomas was calm, clear, and incredibly knowledgeable. Cruising past the floating homes and seeing how the locals live along the river gave us a new perspective. The coconut workshop was not touristy at all — we learned and tasted a lot. The horse cart ride was slow and relaxing, like stepping back in time. But the best moment for me? Floating down the narrow canal on the sampan, with no motor, just the sounds of birds and water. Magical.
This was the perfect midday tour! Duy met us right on time and was super easy to talk to throughout. I appreciated that we went to a less touristy village — it felt more genuine. Learning how coconut candy is made was fascinating, and the free samples? So good. The horse cart was surprisingly fun, and the live music was an unexpected treat. Ending the day with a calm sampan ride under the palm trees made me forget all my city stress. Would absolutely recommend this little adventure if you’re in My Tho.
