I’ve been to Vietnam before, but this tour was something else. Thomas made every detail feel personal. The cruise gave us beautiful views of the islands and daily life on the river, but what really stood out was the village visit. Tan Thach was quiet, humble, and full of surprises. Watching how every part of the coconut is used was fascinating. The folk music was deeply moving — you could feel the history in every note. But the best moment was the hand-rowed sampan through the tiny canal. With trees leaning overhead and no motor noise, it felt like the world paused for a moment. This tour helped me reconnect with the beauty of simplicity.
Duy was a fantastic guide — calm, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. From the moment we left our hotel in My Tho, the entire experience was seamless. The boat ride gave us a real sense of life on the Mekong River, with floating homes and the view of all four islands. But what touched me most was visiting the coconut workshop in Tan Thach. It wasn’t crowded, and it felt so real. Watching the candy being made, and then sampling it, was such a sweet and simple joy. The horse cart ride felt like stepping back in time, and the live folk music — so emotional. The hand-rowed sampan ride was the most peaceful moment I’ve had in months. I didn’t want it to end. A beautiful, soulful tour.
