Serenity, Culture, and Coconut Candy – Thank You, Hannah

This tour was everything I dreamed a day in the Mekong Delta would be—and then some. From the moment we met our delightful guide, Hannah, I knew we were in for something special. Hannah was knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely passionate about her culture, which made all the difference.

The journey felt like a tapestry of Vietnamese life. I loved the stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda, so rich in history and beauty. But what truly captivated me was cruising on the wide, muddy waters of the Mekong River—passing floating homes, fish farms, and the mythical islands was surreal.

At Tan Thach village, Hannah explained the entire coconut candy-making process with such enthusiasm, letting us taste fresh samples and showing us tools made from every part of the coconut. I couldn’t help but smile through it all. The horse cart ride gave us a charming glimpse into countryside life, and the traditional Vietnamese music performance moved me deeply—it was raw and soulful.

Riding a hand-rowed sampan through a palm-fringed canal was like stepping into a movie scene. I’ll never forget the peace I felt there. And the lunch? That crispy elephant ear fish was beyond delicious.

Hannah, thank you for sharing your world with us. You were the heart of this tour, and I feel so lucky to have met you.

An Unforgettable Day on the Mekong with Guide Lam

I travel often, but very few experiences have touched my heart the way this Mekong River tour did. From the moment our driver picked us up in Ho Chi Minh City, everything was smooth and professional. But the real magic began when we met our guide, Lam, at the My Tho boat station. Lam welcomed us with the warmest smile and immediately made us feel like family.

Every stop on the tour had a story, and Lam brought those stories to life. I was especially moved by the visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda—such peaceful energy and beautiful architecture. Cruising on the Mekong River was a dream… watching floating houses drift by, soaking in the calm rhythm of life here.

Lam’s explanations at the coconut workshop were engaging, even for the children in our group, and I appreciated how he involved everyone in the experience. The traditional music performance and the honey tea break felt like stepping into another era. The hand-rowed sampan ride through the narrow canal lined with coconut trees was simply magical—it felt like time slowed down.

Lunch with the famous elephant ear fish was the perfect way to end the journey. I left the Mekong with a full heart and a deeper appreciation for Vietnam’s countryside and culture. Thank you, Lam—you made this tour unforgettable!
