This tour offered a beautiful contrast between spiritual spaces, natural landscapes, and local life. Our guide Chris struck a perfect balance between sharing cultural insights and letting us enjoy the scenery in peace.
Vinh Trang pagoda in the morning felt serene and elegant, with its blend of French, Chinese, and Vietnamese architecture. From there, the Mekong cruise was so relaxing—passing floating houses and waving children.
In Tan Thach, the coconut workshop was genuinely interesting. Chris showed us not only how they make the candy but explained how every part of the coconut is used. He even encouraged us to try coconut wine, which was… memorable!
The traditional music, honey tea, and horse cart gave us a deeper sense of life in the countryside. The sampan ride was peaceful, almost meditative.
Lunch was fresh and well-prepared—the elephant ear fish was crispy and tasty. Afterward, the drive to Can Tho was smooth, and we reached by late afternoon. A tour that leaves you thinking and smiling.
This tour was so well-organized and meaningful, it really stood out. Thomas, our guide, was top-notch: friendly, full of insight, and kept things flowing naturally without pressure.
The pagoda was a peaceful stop, and the boat ride on the Mekong was breathtaking. Watching river life go by while Thomas explained about the four islands was the perfect pace.
The coconut candy part was fascinating—I had no idea so much came from coconuts. We tried coconut wine (a surprise!) and got to see how they make coconut mats. The local music and fruit stop was lovely—real atmosphere.
Sampan ride: a must. It felt like the Delta was embracing us.
Lunch was generous and fresh. The elephant ear fish was unlike anything I’ve had before, and I loved learning how to eat it properly.
Arriving in Can Tho late afternoon, we felt we had gained both memories and understanding. This is not a tourist trap—this is Vietnam at its best.
