Hannah met us in My Tho with a warm smile and took us through a fantastic day on the Mekong. The Vinh Trang pagoda was breathtaking — so rich in culture and calmness. Cruising the mighty river with views of floating homes and islands felt surreal. Hannah’s insights about the coconut candy process and local village life made everything come alive. The horse cart ride was so fun, and the traditional music and tropical fruit tasting were perfect cultural treats. The hand-rowing sampan ride through the coconut-lined canal was peaceful and beautiful. The lunch of elephant ear fish was fresh and delicious. Hannah’s enthusiasm and kindness made the day unforgettable.
Lam greeted us warmly at My Tho after a comfortable car ride from Can Tho. The Vinh Trang pagoda stop on the way was enchanting, full of history and serenity. The boat cruise gave us mesmerizing views of the Mekong’s floating life and surrounding islands. Lam’s explanations of the coconut candy making and local village life were fascinating, especially how every part of the coconut is used. The horse cart ride was a highlight, transporting us back to simpler times. Hearing traditional Vietnamese music while tasting tropical fruits was a sensory delight. The peaceful sampan ride was magical. The elephant ear fish lunch was a culinary treat. Lam’s care and knowledge made this a truly authentic Mekong experience.
