A Delightful Mekong Journey with Authentic Flavors

Our guide Lam met us warmly at the hotel in My Tho, and the boat cruise along the Mekong River was simply breathtaking. Passing floating fish farms and the iconic four islands, the scenery was stunning and peaceful.

The visit to the hidden Tan Thach village was a real highlight — far from the usual tourist spots. Lam’s clear and engaging explanation of the coconut candy-making process made it easy to understand and fun for the whole family. Sampling fresh local treats was a lovely touch.

Riding the horse cart through the countryside gave us a glimpse of rural life and history, and the Vietnamese traditional music performance was captivating. Enjoying seasonal tropical fruits and honey tea while listening to the UNESCO-recognized Đàn Ca Tài Tử was a truly special experience.

The hand-rowing sampan ride through narrow canals under the shade of coconut trees was peaceful and intimate, a perfect way to see daily life along the water.

The authentic lunch featuring elephant ear fish was delicious and satisfying, rounding off the tour perfectly. Lam’s friendly guidance made the day smooth and memorable. Highly recommended for a true Mekong experience!

Coconut Villages, Canal Peace, and a Memorable Meal

This tour was the perfect way to see a unique part of Vietnam without having to wake up early! Our guide Hannah was super friendly, spoke excellent English, and made sure we got the most out of every stop. Visiting Tan Thach village was a smart choice — far less touristy than other places. Seeing the coconut candy process up close was fun (and tasty), and the horse cart ride gave us a nostalgic feel of old Vietnamese countryside life. Ending with a riverside lunch featuring elephant ear fish was the cherry on top. Highly recommend this experience, especially if you want something authentic and well-paced.
