This Free Walking Tour you will explore all of the Can Tho landmarks, history & culture in one tour! Everything from Khmer pagoda, Museum, Prison to the Mekong River, local life, hidden village and everything in between!
An experience local tour guide will go along the tour with you as follows:
1/ Munir Ansay pagoda is the cultural, religious center of Khmer people. The ethnic and religious concord of those who belong to different religions and groups of people is the most extraordinary feature of Vietnam where everybody lives together without conflicts. This is the unique pagoda appears in the Mekong Delta only.
2/ Military Zone 9 museum (Outside visit). The museum is like a vivid story about the life and fighting spirit of the Southwestern people during the resistance war against the French and the Americans. The museum was established on December 21, 1979, under the Political Bureau of Military Region IX.
3/ Can Tho Prison (Outside visit). Can Tho Grand prison is an important historical site to visit in the city. It was initially built by the French colonists from 1878 to 1886 but then was used by the South Vietnamese and Americans during the Vietnam War, as a part of colonization to hold all those Vietnamese revolutionaries and citizens who dissented against the regime. 4/ Ninh Kieu riverside park along the wonderful Mekong river where our local expert tour guide will tell you all insight stories about the river and its life from the old days to the present.
5/ Travel like a local. Take a ferry to conquer the other side of Can Tho River and feel more about the river culture
6/ Can Tho hidden village and sunset view. You will have an eye-opening experience when you are in the real hidden village which is only 5 minutes away from the financial city center and also enjoy the Can Tho sunset (sometimes).
