Explore the nature & wildlife by boat & rowing sampan, enjoy enormous emerald-green duckweed as well as flocks of birds (seasonal), conquer the walking bamboo bridge in the forest in Vietnam.

Itinerary
  • Pick-up
    At 7:00 AM, our car and tour guide will welcome and pick up you at the hotel in Chau Doc city.
  • Tra Su forest & activities
    Arrive at Tra Su forest (planted from the 80s). The tour guide then helps you with boat tickets and get on board. After sitting on a motor boat for around 20 minutes to contemplate the natural sights, you will take to the rowing sampan (about half hour) to watch birds (seasonal) and enjoy the most beautiful flooded forest in Vietnam as well as SE-Asia. Afterwards, get back to the motorboat and reach inner the forest. Take 500-meter walking to get to the 25-meter observation post to enjoy the fascinating view over the mountain in the area, the expanses of cajeput forest and the white dots of flying storks. Take an amazing bamboo walking bridge in the forest in Vietnam which gives you much time to feel the beauty of nature.
  • Things on the way
    On the way, your tour guide will share a lot of information about the nature & wildlife, sugar palm, rice fields and fish farm…and also learn about the importance of Khmer Buddhism in the local community at the border of Vietnam and Cambodia.
  • From Tra Su forest - Transfer to Ha Tien with car and driver (no tour guide escort)
    Around 10:00 AM, transfer to the Ha Tien ferry station or the hotel in Ha Tien.
  • Arrive Ha Tien
    Arrive in Ha Tien around 12:00 NOON.
  • P/s 1: You can buy the ferry tickets to get to Phu Quoc with the departure from Ha Tien at 1:30 (on the website: superdong,com,vn) or 1:45pm (phuquocexpressboat,com)

    Like cruising into another world

    The morning light filtered through the cajeput forest in a magical way. Danh, our guide, was full of heart and knowledge. He spoke softly, but everything he said felt like a key to understanding this place.
    I enjoyed the sampan ride most — such a contrast from the busy world we live in. Even the short hike to the lookout tower gave me goosebumps.
    The transfer to Ha Tien was just what I needed to digest the experience. Merci beaucoup, Danh!

    Peaceful morning escape before crossing west

    Such a serene and gentle tour. Hannah had such a warm energy — she explained things in a way that was both informative and easy to relate to.
    Tra Su forest is like something out of a fairytale, especially the part with the small sampan boat.
    The lookout tower gave me a sweeping view of where I had just been — it felt surreal to look back from above.
    Then the car ride to Ha Tien gave me time to reflect. A wonderful goodbye to the inland, before heading seaside.
