Itinerary
  • Pick-up
    At 7:00 AM, our car and tour guide will welcome and pick up you at the hotel in Chau Doc city.
  • Tra Su forest & activities
    Arrive at Tra Su forest (planted from the 80s). The tour guide then helps you with boat tickets and get on board. After sitting on a motor boat for around 20 minutes to contemplate the natural sights, you will take to the rowing sampan (about half hour) to watch birds (seasonal) and enjoy the most beautiful flooded forest in Vietnam as well as SE-Asia. Afterwards, get back to the motorboat and reach inner the forest. Take 500-meter walking to get to the 25-meter observation post to enjoy the fascinating view over the mountain in the area, the expanses of cajeput forest and the white dots of flying storks. Take an amazing bamboo walking bridge in the forest in Vietnam which gives you much time to feel the beauty of nature.
  • Things on the way
    On the way, your tour guide will share a lot of information about the nature & wildlife, sugar palm, rice fields and fish farm…and also learn about the importance of Khmer Buddhism in the local community at the border of Vietnam and Cambodia.
  • From Tra Su forest - Transfer to Ha Tien with car and driver (no tour guide escort)
    Around 10:00 AM, transfer to the Ha Tien ferry station or the hotel in Ha Tien.
  • Arrive Ha Tien
    Arrive in Ha Tien around 12:00 NOON.
  • P/s 1: You can buy the ferry tickets to get to Phu Quoc with the departure from Ha Tien at 1:30 (on the website: superdong,com,vn) or 1:45pm (phuquocexpressboat,com)

    Floating forest magic before noon

    David was enthusiastic and patient — the perfect mix for a guide. I didn’t expect the Tra Su forest to be that pretty. The boat ride (especially the rowing part) was silent and surreal.
    The stilted bamboo bridge felt a bit wobbly but fun, and the lookout tower was worth the climb.
    On the way back, David shared insights about Khmer traditions and pointed out water buffaloes and rice paddies. Then our driver took us to Ha Tien – no traffic, no stress. Great half-day tour to end the stay in Chau Doc!

    Wie eine Meditation auf dem Wasser

    Ich habe selten so eine ruhige und friedliche Tour erlebt. Minh war sehr nett und hat alles klar und interessant erklärt – über die Natur, den Fluss, die Menschen. Die Bootsfahrt durch den Wald war fast wie Meditation.
    Das Vogelbeobachten war leider nicht zur Hochsaison, aber die Atmosphäre hat alles wettgemacht. Ich habe mich komplett entschleunigt gefühlt.
    Die Autofahrt nach Ha Tien danach war bequem und pünktlich. Alles war gut organisiert. Sehr empfehlenswert für Naturfreunde.
