A Breathtaking Forest Escape and Seamless Transfer to Can Tho

This was the perfect way to combine immersive nature with convenient travel between Chau Doc and Can Tho. Our guide, Danh, greeted us with a warm smile and made the drive to Tra Su Forest feel like a journey through layers of local insight. He explained so much along the way—about the sugar palm fields, Khmer cultural roots, and everyday life in this fascinating part of Vietnam.

The forest itself was unforgettable. From the motorboat to the slow, silent sampan ride, we were surrounded by emerald-green duckweed and peaceful birdlife. It felt like entering a completely different world. Danh pointed out native bird species, flora, and hidden forest corners we’d have missed on our own.

Climbing to the top of the observation tower gave us an incredible panoramic view of the Mekong countryside—lush and seemingly endless. The bamboo walking bridge was a fun touch, and made us feel part of the environment rather than just visitors.

Lunch in the forest was simple and fresh, served in a quiet setting that felt miles away from the bustle of daily life. Afterward, the private transfer to Can Tho was smooth, comfortable, and well organized—even though there was no guide on the ride, everything went perfectly.

If you’re looking for a balance of eco-adventure, cultural depth, and easy logistics, this tour is a gem.

A Perfect Mix of Scenic Beauty and Local Insights

The Tra Su Forest tour with Duy was a highlight of my trip. Duy’s knowledge about the forest’s ecosystem, the importance of Khmer Buddhism in the border region, and the local agricultural life made the journey fascinating.

The motorboat and rowing sampan rides gave us a peaceful way to see the flooded forest and watch seasonal birds. The observation post gave a stunning view of the vast cajeput forest and the mountains beyond. The longest bamboo walking bridge in Vietnam was a serene place to connect with nature.

The included local set lunch was delicious and authentic, providing a nice break before heading to Can Tho city. The transfer afterward was well organized.

This tour offers a perfect balance of adventure, culture, and relaxation. Highly recommended with Duy as your guide!
