Paddy rice fileds Mekong Delta, Chau Doc countryisde roadThe scooter will leave Chau Doc city for Sam mountain through the countryside road, not the main car road. This absolute experience is only for the motorbike tour. On the way, you will see hundreds of hectares of rice fields and the tour guide will stop at one of the best rice fields to visit to learn all about Mekong Delta rice fields (rice fields is seasonals in the dry season). Beside rice fields, this way is all about the countryside, you may see lotus farms and water buffalos during the wet season. Of course, on this trip, you sometimes will see green or yellow rice fields or farmers are harvesting on the farm or the countryside views of Mekong rural lives near the border of Vietnam in Chau Doc village.

Hang pagoda – Phuoc Dien pagoda Chau DocVisit the Hang pagoda – Phuoc Dien pagoda Chau Doc. The tour guide will escort and help you to explore the pagoda. Hang means cave. You can not find the caves and more magical hidden caves like a tunnel in this pagoda. It is so cool to get to the end of the cave at the big rocks and enjoy the beauty of this stunning pagoda since 1840. (The tour guide will set a meeting point for you, if you do not want to conquer the caves).

Sunset Sam mountain - the best checkin spot in Chau DocAfter the Hang pagoda, the scooter tour keeps riding up to the Sam mountain. As a local tour guide expert, we will take you to the best checkpoint on the mountain at the magic double rock (see the guest photos please) for the sometimes sunet (afternoon tour) and enjoy the rice fields (seasonal) from the mountain.

Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
This motorbike tour through Chau Doc’s countryside was nothing short of spectacular. Lam was the perfect guide—knowledgeable and personable, he made the experience unforgettable. We explored vast rice fields, lotus ponds, and even spotted water buffaloes on the way. The Hang Pagoda was stunning, and the cave exploration added an element of mystery to the visit. The highlight was definitely the sunset from Sam Mountain. The views of the rice fields from above as the sun set behind the mountains were absolutely magical. This is an experience you won’t want to miss.
This motorbike tour through the Chau Doc countryside was a beautiful experience. My guide, Thomas, was amazing. He really knew the area well and showed me the best spots, including the hidden gems along the way—like the lotus farms and rice fields that stretched for miles. The Hang Pagoda was so peaceful, and I loved walking through the caves to reach the big rocks at the end. Watching the sunset from Sam Mountain was an experience I’ll cherish forever.
