Getting picked up at 3:30 AM sounded horrible at first. But once we were on the boat, floating through the early light of the Mekong with pineapples and engine hums around us, I forgot I was tired.
Minh met us at the pier and was so welcoming. The floating market felt real — not like something staged. He told us stories of how boats signal what they sell, and we tried fresh pineapple right from the boat.
The noodle house was such a cool experience. Watching the colorful noodles being steamed and sun-dried, and then eating a noodle pizza made by the owner’s wife… that was special.
We glided through tiny canals, passed orchards, ate fruit straight from the trees, then had a lovely local lunch. I think I’ll remember the peaceful sampan ride forever. I even saw a woman quietly rowing a guest across like in a movie.
Minh’s gentle guidance made this early morning tour feel like a special privilege. The floating market’s bustling boats and vibrant colors were breathtaking, but Minh’s stories helped me see beyond the surface—to the history and the daily lives of the people. Sharing fresh pineapple on the boat was a simple but touching moment.
The noodle factory was a fascinating stop—seeing the colorful noodles being made and tasting the noodle pizza brought a smile to my face. The peaceful sampan ride through the canals, with glimpses of local children playing and quiet river scenes, felt like a secret gift.
Thanks to Minh, this tour was a beautiful blend of culture, nature, and heartfelt moments.
