The smells of herbs and fruit, the shouting of vendors, the river breeze—it was magical. We then visited a noodle-making family, and I was touched by their generosity and pride in their craft. Thomas encouraged us to engage with everyone, and I loved the connection we built. The canal ride through shaded waterways was deeply relaxing and reflective. This tour felt like opening a door into real daily life—quiet, beautiful, and resilient. I left with my heart full.
This tour, led by the wonderful David, transported me into a world I had never experienced. The early morning arrival at Cai Rang floating market allowed us to see the local economy come alive. We tasted the sweetest pineapples I’ve ever had and watched boats filled with rice, noodles, and fruit exchanging goods. The noodle factory was a highlight—I even got to try making a rice sheet!
