    Like Stepping into Another World

This tour, led by the wonderful David, transported me into a world I had never experienced. The early morning arrival at Cai Rang floating market allowed us to see the local economy come alive. David didn’t just explain what we saw—he painted vivid pictures of life along the river, the struggles and the joys of the families that live there. We tasted the sweetest pineapples I’ve ever had and watched boats filled with rice, noodles, and fruit exchanging goods. The noodle factory was a highlight—I even got to try making a rice sheet! The canals were unbelievably beautiful—tranquil and unspoiled. You see the real Vietnam here, not the touristy version. A stunning and emotionally powerful day.

    Real Vietnam in a Day

We traveled to Can Tho for one day, but I felt like I lived a week of memories. Minh, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful. He took time to explain the significance of every stop without overwhelming us. The floating market was incredible—I was amazed at how trade happens so naturally on the river. Then we visited a noodle-making family, where I learned how they color the noodles with natural ingredients like turmeric and pandan leaves. Tasting their fresh food in their modest home was deeply humbling. Later, we floated through small, tree-covered canals that felt like they came out of a dream. The gentle rhythm of the water and the laughter of children on the banks made it surreal. Minh’s guidance made all the difference.
