Tasting their fresh food in their modest home was deeply humbling. Later, we floated through small, tree-covered canals that felt like they came out of a dream. The gentle rhythm of the water and the laughter of children on the banks made it surreal. Minh’s guidance made all the difference.
I’m not usually a fan of early mornings, but I’d wake up at 3 AM every day if it meant reliving this tour. Lam, our guide, was exceptional—friendly, funny, and full of stories about the region’s culture. The floating market was bursting with color and life. I loved how Lam introduced us to the vendors and explained their daily routines and family histories. The tropical orchard was like stepping into paradise—papayas, dragon fruit, jackfruit—everything fresh and full of flavor. But what truly left an impression was cruising down the quiet back canals.
