Can Tho Rice Noodle Factory & Villages
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
I had read about the Cai Rang floating market and was afraid it might be too touristy — but this early morning tour with Lâm showed me the opposite. We were among locals doing real trade. Lâm’s explanations were both funny and touching, and the noodle breakfast on the boat was one of the best meals we had in Vietnam! The quiet moments in the canals afterward, when the sun peeked out and the trees reflected in the water, were like a painting. I didn’t want it to end. If you want to feel the Mekong, start here.
We were in search of something peaceful and personal for our last evening in Can Tho — and this sunset sampan ride with Chris was pure magic. The light falling on the water as the day closed was surreal. The floating market was calm by then, but Chris made it fascinating by explaining how it transforms throughout the day. The gentle walk through the riverside village, the scent of fruit trees, the slow paddle through narrow green canals — it was meditative. We didn’t expect to feel so moved by such a simple journey.
