Can Tho Rice Noodle Factory & Villages
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
I chose the 5 AM option, and waking up early was absolutely worth it! The quiet of the early morning, the soft light rising over the river, and the calm atmosphere made this one of the most serene experiences I’ve had in Vietnam. Our guide, Chris, was friendly, insightful, and had a great sense of humor, which made the trip even more enjoyable.
The Cai Rang floating market in the early hours felt authentic and lively—definitely less touristy than I expected. We had a delicious breakfast on the boat, complete with hot coffee and a sweet, juicy pineapple cut fresh right in front of us. Chris even made sure everyone got photos without feeling rushed or staged.
The short village walk was a lovely window into everyday life in the Mekong. People were warm and welcoming, and it didn’t feel like a show for tourists. The small canal ride afterward was incredibly peaceful—just 20 minutes of floating through shaded, quiet waterways, watching the delta wake up.
This tour is perfect if you’re short on time but still want a rich and personal experience. It’s quiet, local, and full of charm. Highly recommend starting your day this way.
Hieu was a fantastic guide this morning. We toured the floating market in a small boat and breakfast on the water. We visited a local canal and village that raises seedlings to sell to farmers. He was so informative and answered all our questions.
