Can Tho Rice Noodle Factory & Villages
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
If you only have one day in Can Tho, make it this one. Guide Thomas was fantastic, sharing stories about the floating market and how it’s slowly changing with modern life. We cruised through the smaller canals — so quiet you could hear birds and the splash of paddles. Visiting the noodle workshop was like stepping back in time. Then came the highlight: cycling between fruit gardens and joining a local cooking class. The host family treated us like old friends. Between the laughter, flavors, and river breeze, I forgot all sense of time.
What a full and wonderful day! Guide Jade was a gem — patient, funny, and full of local stories. The morning market was buzzing, boats clashing gently, vendors calling out prices. I got to try breakfast noodles cooked right on the river! The handmade noodle house visit was fascinating — the family was so warm. The canals were incredibly peaceful, like a different world. And the cooking class at the end was the perfect finish. I learned to make bánh xèo (Vietnamese pancake), and it actually turned out delicious. Such a memorable way to experience Can Tho!
