    So different from northern Vietnam

We had toured Hanoi and Sapa before this, but Can Tho gave us a whole different vibe. Life on the water is fascinating, and Minh was great at explaining everything — from why boats hang fruit as signs to how people grow up on these rivers. The noodle family was so lovely. The kids were playing around and the grandma waved at us from the kitchen. The garden and cacao stops were quieter, giving us time to rest a bit. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Lunch was served in a local home setting, with delicious countryside dishes. Definitely worth the early start.

    Early, rustic, unforgettable

woke up groggy but worth it. chris picked us up, smooth boat ride, cool breeze. market was quiet at first then lively. pineapple boat stop = fresh af. garden was lush and peaceful. we sat under a tree and tasted the fruit. noodle spot was awesome — fire, steam, big smiles. noodle pizza (yes that’s real). cacao farm smelled divine. learned a lot actually. cacao milk was creamy. the wine was surprisingly nice. lunch was chill. river breeze and simple food. no frills. just good energy.
