Tours in group
I didn’t want a “big group bus” kind of tour — and this was the opposite. Small group, quiet boat, local stories from Hannah (who’s sweet and knows so much!). I liked that we didn’t just look at the market but actually got fruit and interacted. The fruit garden walk reminded me of my grandma’s backyard but way more exotic. The noodle house? Highlight. The smell of steamed rice, the fire, the lady’s laugh — it stays with you. Cacao farm was a chill spot too — wine tasting at 10 AM? Yes please. Lunch wrapped it all up nicely. Real, unpolished, and beautiful. Thanks Hannah!
Hieu is one of the most caring and smart guides I’ve met. He guided us through each stop like we were friends visiting his hometown. The floating market is something you have to see with a local — the boats, the vendors, the pineapple sharing moment — it felt very alive. Fruit garden was calm, green, and full of tasty things. The noodle place was hands-on — we were allowed to try turning the rice dough ourselves. I loved watching the family work with such pride. At the cacao farm, I bought soaps and chocolate. The lunch was served at a peaceful countryside spot. It wasn’t rushed. I felt like I truly got to slow down and be in the Mekong.
