Pick-upPickup: At 5:00 AM (or 7:00 AM), our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel (if selected option) by car and transfer you to Ninh Kieu Pier to board an authentic small boat (sampan).
Arrive at Cai Rang Floating Market – a must-see in Can Tho, Mekong Delta. Your guide will explain why it is an early morning floating market and how it is slowly disappearing. The experience includes the best noodle soup on the river (vegetarian option available). Find a reason to interact with the river life and enjoy fresh fruits during your tour.
Leave the crowds and tourist boats behind and enjoy a peaceful sampan ride through the hidden canals of Can Tho, Mekong Delta. Slow down and feel the calm of the Mekong as you drift past lush greenery and quiet waterways — a serene experience you will not find on the main river.
Visit the Mekong fish and farmers market (non-touristy) and see the Delta’s true heartbeat. It is where locals trade fresh fish, fruits, and produce in a lively, authentic setting untouched by mass tourism. You will witness real daily life, colorful scenes, and the strong sense of community that sustains the Mekong.
Fresh seasonal tropical fruits are also included during the tour.
The sampan continues to an organic cacao farm, where your guide will share interesting stories about cacao, Mr. Cacao, and how to make chocolate, wine, and cosmetics. Enjoy a glass of cacao milk (included).
The sampan keeps reaching to fruit garden, you will visit and walk around the local fruit garden where the guide will tell you interesting stories about local Mekong countryside life, homegrown garden and fruits.
Around 11:00 AM, you’ll join a hands-on cooking class and prepare delicious local Vietnamese dishes for lunch in an airy tropical garden.
After lunch, the tour comes to an end. You will be transferred back to your hotel or meeting point by car/taxi, arriving around 1:00 PM (or 2:30 PM), depending on your selected tour option. -

Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
We had an unforgettable day on this Can Tho tour. Hannah picked us up promptly at our hotel and from there, it was smooth sailing—literally! Watching the Cai Rang floating market come alive in the morning light while biting into a fresh pineapple was a dream. What made the tour exceptional was the personal stories Hannah shared about growing up nearby. The visit to the fruit orchard was peaceful, and I never knew star apples could be that delicious. The noodle house was charming, and seeing the noodle-making process was a highlight—who knew “noodle pizza” could be so good? The cacao farm had such a homely atmosphere, and the cacao milk… wow. We ended the tour with a tasty lunch that felt like it came straight from grandma’s kitchen. An authentic, heartwarming experience from start to finish. Tusen tak, Hannah!
From the first moment David greeted us, I knew this tour would be special. His passion for the Mekong Delta was contagious, and it transformed a typical sightseeing day into a journey of discovery and emotion. The floating market was a living painting, colorful and bustling yet peaceful in its own way. Sharing pineapple with David on the boat felt like joining a family morning ritual rather than a tourist activity.
The fruit garden was a delightful pause—so much life and flavor growing in one place. David’s knowledge about each fruit and its significance added layers to what I saw and tasted. The noodle house visit surprised me the most; the vibrant colors and the delicate process behind the noodles were mesmerizing, and the homemade noodle pizza was a delicious revelation.
Visiting the cacao farm was like stepping into a storybook of flavors and traditions. The cacao milk was rich and comforting, and learning about the craft of chocolate and wine-making was fascinating. David made sure every part of the tour felt authentic and thoughtful, and I left with my heart full of new memories and my palate delighted.
