What an amazing way to experience Can Tho after dark! Our guide Minh made the evening unforgettable, weaving together stories and local culture with delicious street food stops. The original fried prawn cakes at the secret corner were crispy perfection, and the shrimp and duck pancakes at the bustling food paradise were mouthwatering. I loved learning about the grilled pork patty salad rice paper rolls — the mix of fresh ingredients and dipping sauce was a flavor explosion. Ending the night with drinks at a rooftop sky café overlooking the river was the perfect chill moment. This tour was exactly what we were hoping for—authentic, exciting, and absolutely delicious! From the moment our guide Thao picked us up at our hotel, we knew we were in good hands. Riding on the back of the motorbike through the lively streets of Can Tho at night was an adventure in itself!
Our first bite was the famous fried prawn cake, and it completely lived up to the hype—crispy, hot, and packed with flavor. The second stop took us into a bustling local food hub where we tried the shrimp and duck pancake. Watching it sizzle in the open kitchen was mesmerizing, and the taste was next-level!
The “secret food” stop added a fun twist, and we loved being surprised with something totally unexpected (and incredibly tasty). By the time we reached the grilled pork patty salad rolls, we were already full, but couldn’t resist. Each component was explained to us—lemongrass, starfruit, herbs—it was like a food class wrapped in a feast.
We ended the night with a drink at a rooftop café, taking in the peaceful view of the Mekong River and the glowing city lights. The whole experience was intimate, personal, and off the beaten path.
